Lluc Torcal Sirera

Prior of the Monastery of Poblet and the Cistercian Order general procurator

He is the academic director of the Monastic Formation Courses of the Sant Bernat College in Rome and is the head of studies of the Scholastic of the Monastery of Santa María de Poblet. A member of the STOQ (Science, Theology and The Ontological Quest) project, he works on the philosophical interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. Collaborates with different scientific journals and publications. Runs the position of the President of the PNIN (Natural Park of National Interest of Poblet). In 2015 was elected by the General Chapter of the Cistercian Order as the new Procurator of the Order.

Author of different books and articles who has extensive experience as a speaker in conferences on education. at the University of Girona. Scientific Coordinator High-Performance Artificial Intelligence at Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

 Professor and investigator at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) he works in several areas of artificial intelligence, in computer science including the acquisition of knowledge and the formation of concepts in knowledge-based systems, as well as in automatic learning and autonomous intelligent agents.
