UNESCO Future Leaders Programme: Towards Healing, Peace & Well-Being

This workshop invites the audience to join the speakers in reflecting on how present systems generate and perpetuate profound injustice and structural violence and consider how alternative governance processes can support systemic change to ensure global peacefulness and co-flourishing. It focuses on presenting and discussing key findings from UNESCO research to better understand youth leadership development in the context of unprecedented global challenges. In particular, the workshop highlights the relationship between youth leadership, ethical principles underpinning governance, and systemic transformation, including from a youth perspective. The speakers will outline the necessary shifts in understanding these interrelated concepts aimed at the importance of the human future.
